Dennis preferred to have his collection displayed in Bromsgrove town centre, so in 1977 he purchased this late Georgian building on the Birmingham Road from the Bromsgrove Council. It had been purchased as part of a road widening scheme, but this was never done, and when he purchased it, the building had become derelict. Although Dennis was still employed at Longbridge he renovated the building in his spare time, and by July 1979 he had completed this and moved the collection there, and the local HP, Sir Hal Miller, opened it (below). The old coach house next to the Museum was turned into a café.
