Dennis Norton's collection was first displayed to the public in the ground floor of his home in the old school in Upton Warren, three miles south of Bromsgrove.
Visitors were greeted by this imaginative display in the entrance showing a barrel organ and figures in period costume.
Some of Dennis's early publicity (left), and his collection of musical 'horns' and gramophones.
Another display was a recreation of a Victorian kitchen.
